Service description
This training activity is recognized by the Quebec Order of Psychologists for continuing education in psychotherapy (RA07847-26).
Do you sometimes struggle to fully embrace your emotions? Do you notice a tendency to be harder and more critical of yourself than of others, while you overflow with compassion for those close to you? Being kind to yourself doesn't always come naturally. Yet, it's an accessible skill to learn.
The Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) program offers a guided space for inner exploration, where mindfulness meets tenderness and shared humanity. Designed by Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer, this 8-week program (including a half-day retreat) fosters the integration of concrete practices to cultivate a gentle, stable, and compassionate attitude toward oneself and others.
Throughout the course, participants learn to:
Deepen the practice of compassion towards oneself and others, by cultivating a benevolent presence at the very heart of moments of difficulty;
To recognize and welcome suffering with gentleness, rather than with judgment or resistance;
Allowing an inner attitude of support and understanding to emerge, fostering lasting emotional stability;
Integrating compassion into meditation, helping relationships, and daily life, as a way to be fully human and connected.
